In another example of you can’t trust anyone or anything, yesterday, this plant attacked me; injuring my left eye. I was minding my own business, doing a little watering, when out of nowhere one of the branches got under my glasses, into my eye and scratched my cornea, Amazing! Ah?
I just read an article from “Popular Science”. It seems that some researchers at MIT modeled some software on a worm’s brain. I guess the circuitry and connections. Then they used the software to control a drone and trained it to find a red chair. Then they changed the conditions and the software was able to adopt and find the red chair in real time. They call this a “liquid neural network”. It works; but, they don’t know how or why it works.Wow!

I asked ChatGPT to locate this image. It was a pretty interesting; but unsuccessful process. I was impressed with the speed; however, I guess I was hoping for magic and it seemed more practical.
Baby

Surgery
I had surgery a few days ago and spent a day in the hospital. Our medical system is under attack with too much need and not enough resources. It is a scary thing. I waited two months for an “mri” and three months for the surgery. The hospital was over crowded and while the staff did their best; there was no way they could keep up. I am grateful for the people who do this work and can’t imagine the stress and frustration.
